Program (in French)
The Moldavian violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja shines with the extroverted expressiveness of classical or contemporary scores which she inhabits in the best sense of the term. For this exceptional soloist, Luca Francesconi imagined that the violin could electrify its sound capacities by means of pedals. Entrusted to the conductor Maxime Pascal, the concert of the Philharmonic of Radio France presents Audiodrome Dead City Radio. Hijacking the techniques of radio stereophony, borrowing from Richard Strauss' Alpine Symphony, Romitelli undermines the classical structure of the orchestra by integrating electronic keyboards and the color of the electric guitar that he is so fond of. The end is entrusted to the words from a megaphone "You are lost". We are lost in a flow of information, like in David Cronenberg’s film Videodrome.
