ManiFeste 2021 is committed to new figures in musical creation, along with Ircam is charting an artistic course. Introduced by the Ircam Cursus program, these artists from all over the world are gaining momentum writing for opera (Sivan Eldar), for voice (Roque Rivas), or for dance (Oren Boneh), while integrating the diversity of electronics. The " world of the future " is written here and now. It is also expressed in the history of musical writing in this evening conceived with the vocal ensemble Les Métaboles. Reflecting on the Ars Nova of the thirteenth century, Philippe Leroux takes up the pressing and, for that matter, highly topical question of the poet Boèce: Quid sit musicus? "Who is a musician? The one who plays, the one who makes, the one who understands?" Today, whoever writes and interprets, interrupts, and delights us.
