Anne-Laure Liégeois alternates between staging classical, traditional texts and collaborating with contemporary authors. She often translates and adapts the texts she directs. She works for opera and particularly for baroque music, working regularly with lyrical singers and contemporary composers.

Anne-Laure Liégeois directed a French National Drama Center and is an associate artist with a number of French national theatres. She works for theatres but also for the public space. She works in Morocco, Quebec, and other French-speaking countries.

In July 2021, she will perform Peer Gynt by Ibsen on the stage at the Théâtre du Peuple de Bussang. In September 2021, she will premiere Fuir le Fléau, a commission for 16 authors for "theaters in health crisis situations". In 2022, she will stage Arno Bertina's novel Des Châteaux qui brûlent. She will direct the events celebrating the reopening of the BnF Richelieu.
